At Gaston Transport, we’re building something different. Born from a decision to leave behind the FIFO life and pursue a dream, we’ve grown into a reliable, hard-working business servicing WA’s agricultural, mining, and civil industries.
Founder Hugh Gaston started the business after turning away from what many would call a dream job. He backed himself with a drive to build something for himself, not someone else, and never looked back.
With family ties in transport and a foot in the industry from 17, Hugh brings years of hands-on experience and a no-nonsense attitude to every job.
Where we work
We service the Southwest & Wheatbelt and travel from Bunbury, Perth, all the way to Hyden and beyond, supporting agriculture, mining, and civil works throughout the region. With plans to grow our north-south coverage, we’re always looking ahead.

Meet Hugh
Hugh grew up in rural New Zealand on the North Island's west coast and has since called both the UK and Australia home. He now lives near Bunbury with his partner Madi, their young family, and a pair of horses they ride together.
When he’s not on the road, you’ll find Hugh outdoors fishing, at the beach, or working on ways to keep improving the business. Madi plays a key role behind the scenes and in keeping everything grounded, and Hugh also works closely with trusted mentors.
What keeps him going? A deep pride in building something from the ground up that provides a strong future for his family, and a business that clients can rely on.
